Writers Studio’s Founding and Leadership
Writers Studio was founded by Ms Goh, a Master’s graduate in Creative Writing with 24 years of teaching experience and a remarkable 90% improvement rate among her students. Formerly a Head of Department at an MOE school, she brings extensive training in psychology, business, and accountancy, along with expertise in teaching both special needs and high-ability learners.
Experience and Contributions
Trained by the MOE’s Gifted Education Branch, she has also taught speech and drama, served as a PSLE examiner, and specialised in Information and Communications Technology. She has presented at MOE Excel Fests and was honoured with a special mention from the Director-General of Education on Teacher’s Day. Additionally, she has led significant projects in English education across Korea, the UK, Indonesia, the UAE, and China, and has contributed to Science and English curriculum development while collaborating with MOE’s educational research faculties.
Leadership and Expertise of Principal Elena
Working alongside her is Elena, the centre’s principal, who holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics. A former director of a successful language school, Elena is renowned for her highly praised IELTS preparation and speaking skills programmes. She has an impressive track record of preparing top IELTS scorers and has extensive experience teaching children both online and onsite. Elena also applies CBT techniques to enhance learning and well-being, benefiting both students and teachers.
