(Handling Challenging Questions)
In this 2-day workshop series,
Students will be learning about synthesis and transformation question patterns and how to tackle them.
Synthesis and Transformation have been one of the hardest components to score in the PSLE Paper 2 section.
As students progress from Primary 4 to Primary 5, tackling Synthesis and Transformation have been the one of the hardest hurdles to cross.
The reason being that this section has a stringent marking criteria. Students have to be sharp and accurate in their grammar, while well-read enough to be able to transform sentences skilfully. How many of our children can achieve this without intervention?
Comprehension Cloze carries 15 marks. Inherently, this section leaves many parents and their children jittery. Topics are unpredictable while there are so many collocations to be exposed to and retained in their memory. During the exams, students have to be composed enough to recall the right prepositions, collocations and decipher the text carefully so as to apply the most suitable jargons.
